I just finished teaching my first free JPPilates Stroller Bootcamp class of our summer series and now I want to have another baby. Ha! Kidding. (Sort of) But just look at all of those little munchkins. I was joined by 20 moms, which means I could oogle over 20 tiny babes under the beautiful blue skies in the middle of Boston, all sponsored by the incredible company Safety1st. Talk about your perfect Friday morning.
Thanks to all of you strong women who came out for class today. I hope you had fun and that you feel prouder and stronger for coming.
A big thank you to Safety1st, the sponsors of this free summer series. Safety1st is all about empowering Moms and helping them to make the world a safer and happier place for our little ones. Not only are they the reason I'm able to run these classes but they are also sponsoring a generous giveaway contest for all the Moms who attend these classes! Read below for more details on how you can win your own Step and Go Stroller just by attending one of my Stroller Bootcamp classes. Trust me, you want one of these strollers. They are literally the easiest stroller you'll ever open.
Our next classes are on Fridays July 24, August 7 and August 14 at 10:30am. Reserve your complimentary spot now.
We met in front of the lush Greenway in the North End (at Salem & Cross Streets). Babies ranged in age from 8 weeks to 18 months+. I was beyond thrilled to see so many familiar faces of very special clients I've taught for years, who now I have 1 (even 2) babies of their own. I trained several of these women for their weddings and now I get to workout with them and their little ones. It's incredible how full circle things have come. I feel so grateful to have been in this industry long enough now for things like to start happening! Let's just say there was lots of hugs and laughs.
It was also quite inspiring to see so many new faces and to see new Moms pushing themselves outside of their comfort zones. Isn't that what motherhood is basically like? From the minute your baby comes home from the hospital, life changes. You never know what each new day will bring but you can bet it will always be an adventure. It's VERY, VERY hard to try new things with a new baby. Just going to the coffee shop or grocery store is an accomplishment. But packing up your baby, your yoga mat and trekking outside to try a Pilates Bootcamp in the middle of the city is a TRIUMPH! Who cares how much of the workout you can do. The point is you came, you tried and in my book, that makes you a SUPER MOM.
Were you in class? I'd love to hear from you. Please leave us a comment below and let us know what you thought of class? Do you plan to attend our next one?
And for those of you that don't live in Boston, do you attend Mommy and Me workout classes in your own city? What's your favorite part about going?
